Our vision is to reinvent the way we think about furniture. With Timeless Toss, furniture will be community-driven, environmentally-savvy, and perfectly unique. It is time to take another look at furniture.

We give people a way to be better through furniture. We see potential in all furniture and believe in the impact, ownership, and pride that furniture creates both for the people who create it and for the people who own and use it. We are making it easier to feel empowered and accomplished at home.

You may notice that we do not have fancy or matching photos on our site like you might be used to seeing with big box retailers. That is because we are not like the big box retailers, just like how our furniture is not like the furniture found at the big box retailers. Each piece of furniture listed on Timeless Toss was refinished by hand, with tons of creativity, and lots of love. The photos that represent the furniture are unique to each piece and were taken by the artist that refinished the piece. We feel strongly about furniture artists owning the final photos of their pieces and sharing their work with you as they see fit.

Hi, it is lovely to meet you! My name is Emily Robbins, and I’m thrilled you are here. 

I started refinishing furniture in 2020 because I wanted to give life to tired pieces that otherwise would go unused. I still remember the first piece I refinished - finding the piece, selecting the perfect paint color,  and adding the finishing touches. It felt so exciting to transform a piece of furniture into something new completely!  But most of all, I remember the feeling of pure joy seeing its new owner’s smile from ear to ear, telling me how it would be the perfect addition to their home.

At that moment, I knew I had discovered a fun hobby and a passion for helping people feel excited about their homes. 

I continued refinishing furniture for a few years. My leading supporter from the start was my Mom; she helped me fix pieces when I got stuck, confirmed that I had selected the correct paint color, and joined me in delivering completed pieces to my customers. To this day, my mom encourages me and cheers me on from the sideline. She’s largely responsible for why refinishing furniture is so special to me. 

As I became more and more experienced in this work, I noticed parts of the business that were frustrating. Customers could not easily find these special pieces of refinished furniture even if they were looking for them. Additionally, I wanted to be compensated fairly for my hard work as an artist. I wanted to create a way for artists and customers to take another look at furniture. 

And so, Timeless Toss was born.
